Privacy Policy
Effective Date: April 19, 2026
1. Our Privacy Commitment
Unlike traditional PDF tools that process files on remote servers, A2Z PDF is built as a Client-Side Application. This means your PDF documents never leave your computer. We do not store, view, or have any technical access to the contents of the files you process.
This privacy policy explains what information we do and do not collect, how we use any information that is collected, and your rights regarding your data.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
We want to be absolutely clear about what we never collect:
- The content of any PDF files you process using our tools
- Filenames or metadata of your documents
- Your personal identity or account information (no sign-up required)
- Payment information (our core tools are completely free)
3. Information We May Collect
A. Document Data
We do not collect or store PDF files. All transformations (merging, splitting, compressing, watermarking, signing, etc.) happen within your browser's temporary memory (RAM). When you close the browser tab, all data is automatically released from memory.
B. Technical Logs
Our hosting provider (Vercel) may collect standard web server logs including your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, and access timestamps. This data is used solely to ensure the security, stability, and performance of our website. This data is never linked to the documents you process.
C. Usage Analytics
We use Vercel Analytics to understand aggregate usage patterns (e.g., “how many people used the Merge tool today”). This information is anonymized and does not include personally identifiable information. Analytics data helps us understand which tools are most useful and where to invest development effort.
4. Advertising, Cookies & Third-Party Services
A2Z PDF uses Google AdSense for advertising. Google uses cookies to serve ads based on your visit to this and other websites. These cookies allow Google and its partners to serve personalized advertisements based on your browsing history, but they do not provide Google with access to your PDF files or document data.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
For more information on how Google uses data from sites that use their services, please visit: How Google uses data when you use our partners' sites or apps.
You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ad Settings. You may also opt out of third-party vendor cookies by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.
Types of Cookies Used
Essential Cookies
Required for the website to function properly (e.g., theme preference storage). These cannot be disabled.
Analytics Cookies
Used by Vercel Analytics to collect anonymous usage statistics such as page views and tool usage frequency.
Advertising Cookies
Used by Google AdSense to serve relevant advertisements. These cookies may track browsing activity across websites.
5. Data Security
Since your files are processed entirely within your browser and never transmitted to our servers, the primary security responsibility for your document data rests with your device and browser security.
We ensure our website is served over HTTPS (TLS 1.3) to protect the integrity of the web application code delivered to your browser. We regularly update our dependencies and monitor for security vulnerabilities in our client-side libraries.
6. Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to other sites that are not operated by us. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. We strongly advise you to review the privacy policy of every site you visit. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.
7. International Compliance
GDPR (European Union)
Since we do not store personal data from document processing, standard GDPR requirements regarding “Right to Access,” “Right to Rectification,” and “Right to Erasure” are inherently satisfied, as we possess no document data to access, rectify, or erase. For any data collected through analytics or advertising cookies, you may exercise your GDPR rights by contacting us at the email below.
CCPA (California, United States)
California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion of personal information, and to opt out of the sale of personal information. A2Z PDF does not sell personal information. For any questions about the data collected through analytics and advertising services, please contact us.
LGPD (Brazil)
Brazilian users are similarly protected under the LGPD. Since no personal document data is collected or stored, your data protection rights are inherently respected. For analytics-related inquiries, please contact us.
8. Children's Privacy
Our service is not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
9. Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to update this privacy policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Effective Date.” We encourage you to review this page periodically for any changes. Your continued use of A2Z PDF after any modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
